Three concerts in three weeks!

I'm so excited. I purchased tickets to three concerts yesterday. The Moody Blues, June 11th, Robert Plant, June 16th., and K.D. Lang June 23rd. My husband, Joel and I are going to the M.B. with some friends. The next week my friend Cheryl and I are going to see R.P. from Led Zepplin (oh to be young, and know what I think I know now). #3 K.D. Lang with two friends Connie and Laura. Connie's treat for Laura and my birthdays in June. Too bad they all fell on the days they did, but you only live once, and I'm not getting any younger! The concerts are at this wonderful venue called Ravinia in Highland Park, Il. It's quite a drive from where I live, but I usually only go to one or two concerts a season. Lawn seats range from $22-27. Can't beat that, except I'm probably spending $25 more for gas. Still a good deal. Have a great day everyone. I'll post some pics of Ravinia if I can find them.

A few art pieces I've made in the last few days, and want to share with you.

This is actually my second piece I made and gave away as a gift.

I used vintage sheet music, an old botanical print, which I colored, and some ric rac on the edge.
The back of my second piece. I painted it using chalk board paint, which seems to be a hot item these days.

This is my first piece. I kind of wish I hadn't outlined my bird in black, it seems a bit harsh to me.

This is my favorite piece. I had a small canvas that I had painted many moons ago, and never liked it so I covered it with this collage. I used a vintage book page from a German book, an old photo booth photo, another botanical print, a punched map mounted on an old poker chip, and finally added the letter G. I thought the gal could be from Germany.

My niece and I went to Antropologie this past weekend, and took a class making these plant hangers. We used many wine corks for this project. I'm surprised mine turned out as well as it did, considering all the wine I had to drink to get these corks! :))

I want to change a caption

"I'm lookin' fer the man that shot my paw!"

"The woods are alive with the sounds and sites of Spring" Pics I shot today in our woods. Hope you enjoy.

These are my seeds, and I'm not sharing!

Woody suckseed? Well woody?

You know what they say...

I almost stepped on this big guy.

The view out our back yard.

I love violets. My grandma wanted my mom to name me "Violet Ray", because she was a good singer. Well, I'm Deborah, and I'm still a good singer!

You find the strangest things in the woods...FORE!

"I'm a nut in a rut, I'm crazy...come on everybody join in!

There's a fungus amongus.

Thanks every one!

Wow, I didn't realize I had so many comments!  Thank you very much. Thanks Barbara Jean for the tip of "in small doses", I wasn't sure if I was overdoing it with that many photos. I just couldn't leave any out. That is what you meant? Right? And dear Michaelle. Sorry, you may have to wait for a few more posts before I give any prizes. (First I have to figure out how to do it)

Yipee!

I have 14 followers!!! I can't believe it, makes me want to talk cowgirl, yeehaw and yipee! I want to thank Dawn at the Feathered Nest for introducing me on her blog and giving me a plug. (There I go talking cowgirl again.) I saw my friend Michaelle's pic in that itty bitty box, and thought, "oh, she must follow Dawn too", then realized it's me she's following! Also saw Rita and Diedre are following me. Don't worry girls, you know I won't lead you astray :)  "Thank you" to my other followers I don't know yet, I hope to get to know you too.
Oh goody, now I have a reason to go to more of my favorite shops for more photos. As if I need a reason. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, I have a rough life.Take care everyone, and thanks so much for becoming my followers! I appreciate it immensely.

Yeehaw!

I have two followers! I guess what I did worked. Donna and Dawn. Donna is my friend from work, and Dawn has a wonderful blog, and makes the coolest things. She inspired me to finally try blogging. I can see I have a lot to learn. So hopefully those of you that have blogs will give me some tips. "I"m so excited, I just can't hide it..." Great another night with no sleep...
Hey Dawn, Deb, and Donna. Could this be a sign? " The 3 D'S" Well, we are very dimensional, or in my case "demential" :))

Maybe I've finally found a way to share.

Well, I think I might of figured out a way to share my blog. We'll see whether I get any comments. I've had a busy day. I had family over for Easter dinner. It turned out quite well. I was exhausted. I couldn't sleep last night, I was up making something for my Mom from 1:00a.m. -3:30a.m., then I still couldn't sleep. Usually I fret and worry about having people over, but I was actually excited about it because I had gotten most everything I needed to do done, and I wasn't just hopping out of the shower per usual. :)
I plan to show photos of stuff I've made, and more shops I love to frequent. I've asked permission from some shop owners' and they thought it was a good idea. Free advertising, and these shops are so cool to go in to for inspiration and eye candy.
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. The weather was very nice in northern Illinois today, no rain, and sun!
Talk to you soon.

I have no followers, I have no friends :(

Please be my friend, and follow me. I won't get you in too much trouble. I am a good girl, honest. Although, I can get myself in trouble every now and again, and I can be "Mean Debbie Jean". For the most part I can be fun and as my name implies, goofy at times, but only in a "good" way. I hope to share some more shops and photos of stuff I've made over the last few years. We'll see if I can find any friends out there. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!

How can I reach you! # * ?

Oh, my gosh, this is confusing. I'm trying to figure out how to share my blog. How can I be found if no one knows I'm out here? Can anyone help me? Please help me find my way. "I'm a poor little lamb, I have lost my way...bah, bah, bah"

Yikes! Where do I start?

So this is my first attempt to blog. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing yet, so hopefully I will, and this won't be: "The worst blog I've ever read!" So this will be very short, (much like myself). If any of you have suggestions, I'm open for any and all.
I wanted to start out with some photos of one of the shop's I love to go to for "eye" candy and inspiration. I also buy things when I have money to do so. It's "Sentimental Gardens" in Geneva, Illinois (approx. 32 miles west of Chicago). This shop has so many cool things! Have a look, and if you stop in tell them you saw their shop on my blog. I told them over a year ago that I planned on doing this, so I want them to know I finally did, and that I wasn't just taking photos to sell to the press :)

There you go, doesn't it just make your mouth water... I would love to have the Swedish clock that I show by itself. Have a great day everyone! Deb
